Description

Issue on rebooting application server after migration

1. Application Server 1 (KFHIB03)
- The server unable to reboot and prompt error "Last Traps Instruction".

2. Application Server 2 (KFHIB04)
- The server is running, but there are no display on the screen. (It could be the faulty of
VGA cable/port)

Below are the action done by the engineer :-

KFHIB03 (s/n: 0837NNN04X)
1) Physical check -> no amber light
2) reset-all from ok prompt
3) power cycle server
4) server able to boot up
5) basic health check on server -> no hardware error
6) understand that same problem happened before -> Oracle engineer advised to upgrade system firmware version

KFHIB04 (s/n: 0837NNN0AF)
1) Physical check -> no amber light, no display on KVM
2) connect through serial management port
3) basic health check on server -> no hardware error
4) check OpenBoot configuration -> input-device=virtual-console
-> output-device=virtual-console
5) change OpenBoot configuration -> input-device=keyboard
-> output-device=screen
6) reboot is needed for the configuration to take effect

#Only App2 (KFHIB04) is running for now.
#Application in App1 (KFHIB03) need to be reconfigured before start the services.

KFHIB03 System Board - replaced.
Firmware upgraded.
Machine/Server tested with rebooting the machine few times

status - ok
