Description

  • As a general rule, set minimum heap size (-Xms) equal to the maximum heap size (-Xmx) to minimize garbage collections.
  • As a general rule, MaxPermSize should be 1/4th of max heap size

Found out that the JDK installed is 32 bit version that not supported more than 2GB of JVM heap size.
Make an arrangement with end user to install a 64 bit JDK.

SUN JDK 64 bit installed.
got issue to start instance using nodemanager, but manage to resolve after restart everything.
will try to increase the heap size tomorrow.

Issue resolved by changing the JVM from Sun JDK to BEA Jrockit.
