Description

Hi,
Kindly attend below request:-

Our Bank admin had updated password and userid expiry from 60 to 90 days on 13/Oct/2021.
And found out password expiry date displayed in rcas admin not reflected the correct date for all existing users.
New user created after 13/Oct are reflected correctly.

Understand from your whatsapp message that this date will only updated after user perform password reset, however it is quite misleading from admin user perspective. As and when customer call, they need this information to be accurate for troubleshooting.

I have attached user email for your reference.(SCP EMAIL ID 6022)

Please advice.

There are 2 alternative solutions to resolve this issue as below, pending customer feedback on the suggestion solution.

Solution 1:
- Check and update the password expiry date in the database when admin user access to the individual user details from the user enquiry listing in RCAS admin.

Solution 2:
- A new daily cron job to check and update the password expiry date for all active users.

Hi All,

Here are the finding and solution provided to customer, pending customer to feedback on the solution.

Current system design only updates this Password Expiry Date to future date (Password generated date + Password expiry day) when users force change password or change password, else current system will always keep the Password Expiry Date to the date current password expired.

Here is the proposal system design for this field data:
Password Status = "Password Expired" , Password Expiry Date = History data of the password expired date.
Password Status = "Enable", Password Expiry Date = Future Date the password will expire.

To fulfill these conditions, we need to update the current daily scheduler job which used to check if the user password hasn't expired and update the password status to expire with a new condition. If the password has not expired, the system will update the Password Expiry Date to a future date (Password generated date + Password expiry day).
