Description
The BV portal is very slow in responding to request and sometimes the page fails to load at all today.
I have restarted the server for 3 times in 30minutes but the problem keeps on coming back. The BV log files does not indicate any unusual error.
But then I found this in the JBoss web-console monitoring (right before the problem came back again):
Max threads: 250 Min spare threads: 4 Max spare threads: 50 Current thread count: 213 Current thread busy: 211
Max processing time: 219379 ms Processing time: 842.743 s Request count: 1976 Error count: 626 Bytes received: 0.00 MB Bytes sent: 41.51 MB
The server will stop responding to incoming request when the “Current thread count†and “Current thread busy†reaches the default limit of 250.
In case you’re guessing, Max threads 250 is the default value since 2006 and this indicates the maximum number of 250 users concurrently login onto the portal.
