Hi Siew Peng,

Currently report RPT006, RPT007 and RPT009 is using this calculation:
Market Value = (Registered Holdings+PGV Holdings+STN Holdings) X Share Price

Does this means these reports will use Market Value = Registered Holdings x Par Value for all data?
If yes, patch for this calculation need to be applied.

In addition, does currency GBP/British Pound also use the same calculation?

Thank you.

Issue:
In report RPT006, RPT007 and RPT009, has wrong calculation for market value. Report should differentiate between bond and equity market value calculation.

Cause:
Equity calculation is correct but correct bond calculation was never mentioned in 2014 CR and thus never implemented.

Solution:
Customer has to finalized the correct calculation.

Hi Najmi

Please find the consolidated formula:

How to identify Equity or Bonds as below:
1. In company stock file, there is a column called principle. If the value is Null then it is Equity. If the value is I or C, then it is Bonds. >>This is proper solution. Based on this to apply the formula accordingly for Equity and Bonds.

Local Equity (remain as current) = (Registered Holdings+PGV Holdings+STN Holdings) x Market Price

Foreign Equity(remain as current) = (Registered Holdings+PGV Holdings+STN Holdings) x Market Price

Foreign Stock (GBP) regardless Equity / Bonds (remain as current) = (Registered Holdings+PGV Holdings+STN Holdings) x Market Price / 100

UPDATES REQUIRED:
Local Bonds = Registered Holdings+PGV Holdings+STN Holdings) x Par Value

Foreign Bonds = Registered Holdings+PGV Holdings+STN Holdings) x Market Price / Par Value

  1. Download report RPT006, RPT007 and RPT009.
  2. Check stock code whether it is either equity or bond.
  3. Check market value whether it is local equity, foreign equity, local bond, foreign bond or GBP currency.
